The inventor Nils Strinning was certainly not aware at the time that his string system shelf would develop into a design classic. To this day, the shelf is produced almost unchanged, in its classic form. The filigree, inconspicuous shelf string system has meanwhile become a cult for many furniture lovers. The light, delicate form of the string system shelf is extremely popular with fans of all ages. The string shelf is very easy to assemble and universally applicable. When the string system came onto the market in 1949, it was initially only available with black side panels and shelves and boxes in rosewood or teak veneer. Today, the string system is available in three types of wood and four colored lacquered surfaces. The string shelf has thus adapted to the growing needs and diversity of modern design lovers.
