The FK 82 X-Chair by Preben Fabricius & Jorgen Kasthølm is a reduced lounge chair by the two Danish designers. The elegant combination of chromed steel and leather makes it one of the most beautiful armchair designs of the late 1960s. The FK 82 X-Chair is also very comfortable. Another typical detail for Fabricius and Kasthølm are the leather-covered armrests of the design classic FK 82 by Lange Production.

The Danish manufacturer Lange Production owns the licenses for most of the Kasthølm designs and produces the armchair exclusively. 

Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kasthølm met while studying in Copenhagen in the 1950s. In 1962 a joint studio was founded, which was dissolved again in 1970. But in just eight years together, Fabricius and Kasthølm designed numerous pieces of furniture that were clearly influenced by the Bauhaus on the one hand and the rational design of the 1950s and 60s on the other.
